The course begins at the Watsontown Elementary School at the north end of town on 405 Main Street. The course heads north for about a tenth of a mile, then a right turn is made onto John Road for three tenths of a mile where a right turn onto Turbot Avenue is taken. .37 miles later, there will be a left turn onto Ninth Street. The mile mark is reached while still on Ninth Street as the course wraps around Kramms Nursing Home and Rehabiliation Center, Vicki Hitesman's former place of employment. Soon after is a right turn onto Eighth Street, and then an immediate left onto Liberty Street . Almost a half mile later, the course turns left onto Fourth Street, and the only hill of the course is encountered here. The hill continues on Fourth Street for almost a quarter of a mile, and then a wide right turn is made onto Cemetery Road, which wraps around the Watsontown Cemetery and turns into First Street and a long downhill of about .4 mile, steep at times. The two mile mark is encountered just before crossing Pennsylvania Avenue and crossing the train track bridge. After the bridge, a right turn is taken onto Main Street and the course finishes with a last mile through town and back at the elementary school.
